Description
Our Cuillin Chardonnay is only made on rare occasions from hand selected blocks at our Capercaillie vineyard. Hand-picked on the 29th of January, fermented in 50% new French oak hogsheads and 50% in 12 month old casks. This wine received intensive lees stirring during the 10 months of oak maturation. Big pronounced aromas of butterscotch, lemon meringue and buttered popcorn classically delight. Ripe nectarine, sweet peach, freshly picked rocket and hints of white pepper show layers of depth and complexity. Fresh lime & lemon citrus leaves a mouth-watering finish minutes later. Generous acidity and firm tannins complete a perfect balance. Enjoy now or carefully cellar across a decade.
