This Sangiovese fruit comes from Pokolbin, grown on red basalt and limestone soils. The fruit was then open fermented and pumped over twice daily. Matured in seasoned French oak for 7 months, resulting in a soft, fruit driven style of wine. Enticing aromas of ripe red plums, red cherries, mulberries and spice dominate with supporting leather and chestnuts on the palate. Pair with Italian sausage, pizza, pasta or anything with a tomato base sauce.
