2017 The Creel Semillon
Fruit for this wine was sourced from low yielding 70 year old vines from the Trevena family vineyard situated in Pokolbin. These vines are grown on highly weathered alluvial soils. These ancient soils and the temperate maritime climate of the region are well suited to this particular variety. The fruit was handpicked in the last week of January at optimal flavour with excellent sugar and acid balance.

THE CREEL Semillon
Fruit for this wine was sourced from low yielding 70 year old vines from the Trevena family vineyard situated in Pokolbin. These vines are grown on highly weathered alluvial soils. These ancient soils and the temperate maritime climate of the region are well suited to this particular variety. The fruit was handpicked in the last week of January at optimal flavour with excellent sugar and acid balance. The Semillon free run juice was cold settled for 12 hours and racked to ferment. After a cool eight day ferment this wine was racked off ferment lees. This wine is pale straw with green hues and displays lifted lemon citrus and lemon sherbet aromas. This wine has considerable length and cellaring potential.
