2017 Regional Merlot
This Merlot was grown in the Hilltops region of south western NSW. Harvested in the second week of March to obtain optimum ripeness and plenty of fruit drive. Fermented on site at our Capercaillie winery and matured in French oak for 16 months this Merlot displays lashings of blackberries, cassis, cinnamon, nutmeg and sweet spice flavours. Fine, approachable tannins make this a drink now style with Peking duck, wood fired pizza and Italian foods.
