An elegant wine with balanced subtle oak and primary fruit flavours
Hand-picked from low yielding, 45 year old on the Capercaillie Estate. After crushing the wine completed partial barrel fermentation in French oak hogsheads and received extended lees contact with periodic lees stirring during the 7 months of oak maturation. The wine displays typical lovedale characteristics of peach and cream, nectarine and stone fruits. With suitable cellaring this wine will continue to develop for at least the next 5 years.
