An elegant wine with balanced subtle oak and primary fruit flavours
Produced from low yielding vineyards in Pokolbin. After crushing the wine completed partial barrel fermentation in French oak hogsheads, 30% of which were new. The wine received extended lees contact with periodic lees stirring during the eight months of oak maturation. The wine displays peach and pear primary fruit with balanced toastiness from the french oak, a creamy mouth and emphasis on varietal fruit flavours. With suitable cellaring this wine will continue to develop for at least the next 5 years.
